Shawls by Viknet (“we”) operates shawlsbyviknet.com from New York, NY. This page explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. In plain terms: we collect only what we need to run the shop, and we don’t sell your information.
When you contact us. If you email us or use the contact page, we receive your name, email address, and message so we can reply.
When you order. Checkout happens right here on our site through Stripe, our payment processor. We receive your name, email address, shipping address, phone number (if you provide one), and order details so we can fulfill and ship your order. Your card details go directly to Stripe — we never see or store your card number.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (which pages are viewed, what device and browser are used, approximate region). This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.
Google Analytics sets cookies to measure site traffic, and Stripe sets its own cookies during checkout to keep your payment session secure. We don’t use advertising cookies or cross-site trackers. You can block cookies in your browser settings; the shop pages will still work, though checkout requires Stripe’s session cookies.
We use it to process and ship your orders, answer your messages, improve the shop, and prevent fraud. That’s it.
Only the services that help us run the shop:
— Stripe, to process your payment securely.
— Delivery carriers (such as USPS), to ship your order — they receive your name and shipping address.
— Google Analytics, for the aggregated traffic statistics described above.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
You can ask us what information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted — just email hello@shawlsbyviknet.com and we’ll take care of it.
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, and payments are handled over encrypted connections by Stripe. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we don’t cut corners here.
This shop is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
