Welcome to Shawls by Viknet. These terms cover shopping on shawlsbyviknet.com. By placing an order, you agree to them — they’re written to be fair to both sides, so please read them.
Shawls by Viknet is a small New York business selling handmade shawls, made to be worn — especially on wedding days. Every piece is crafted by hand, which is the whole point of the shop.
Orders are placed right here on our site and paid through Stripe’s secure checkout. Prices are in US dollars. Sales tax is calculated at checkout where required. If a price was listed in error, we may cancel the order and refund you in full rather than honor a mistake — we’ll always tell you when that happens.
Ready in-stock pieces ship within 1–3 business days of purchase; custom orders are made to order. US shipping is free via USPS Priority Mail (1–3 business days in transit). Shipping to Canada, the UK, Ireland, and Australia is a $16 flat rate (7–21 business days in transit). Full details are on our Shipping page.
We want you to love your shawl, so returns are simple: you have 30 days from delivery to return an item that is unused and unworn, for any reason. You cover the return shipping; we refund your original payment method within 5 business days of receiving the return. Made-to-order pieces follow the same 30-day policy. Because each shawl is handmade, slight variations in color, texture, and size are normal — they’re the signature of a hand-finished piece, not a defect. Colors may also look slightly different on your screen than in person. If anything arrives damaged or not as described, contact us right away and we’ll make it right.
Photos, designs, and text on this site belong to Shawls by Viknet. You’re welcome to share our pages with friends; please don’t copy our images or designs for commercial use without asking.
Please don’t misuse the site — no scraping our catalog with bots, no attempts to break checkout, no fraudulent orders. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone abusing the shop.
We stand behind what we sell, and our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Nothing here limits rights you have under applicable consumer-protection law.
We may update these terms as the shop evolves; the date above shows the latest version. Orders are governed by the terms in effect when you placed them.
